| What is Hodzeko-Amasi the PROBIOTIC natural set AROMATIC yogurt?
Hodzeko-Amasi is produced from fresh cows milk, in which friendly and beneficial cultures have been added. This converts the milk sugar (lactose) to lactic acid. It’s commonly consumed as part of traditional vegetarian cuisine throughout Africa. We have made it more beneficial to your health by making it PROBIOTIC.
What does it do?
Hodzeko-Amasi has a wholesome taste. It is highly digestible, providing better nutritional value than fresh milk. Hodzeko-Amasi is a ‘live’ product as well as PROBIOTIC – which means it contains beneficial bacteria. This means it will work for you in a similar way to the current popular yogurt drinks. It is suitable for vegetarians. Find out more.
How do I store it?
As a live product Hodzeko-Amasi you should keep it in the
refrigerator, not the freezer. If you keep it separate from other food products it won’t absorb other flavours (which it tends to do if exposed to them), so it’s advisable to keep it in a sealed container. Also, because it is a live product, it must not be contaminated with other foods – use a clean spoon to serve it to ensure you don’t give it anything to ‘grow’! It will keep for up to three days once opened.
Where can I get it?
Hodzeko-Amasi is available in all good Zimbabwean shops in the UK. You can also find it in some South African shops and many Afro-Caribbean food outlets. If you can’t find it in your local shop, please connect them with us – or let us know and we’ll contact them.
